Pantocid dsr capsule is to be taken empty stomach. Take it preferably 30 minutes before food. How pantocid d capsule pr works Pantocid dsr capsule is a combination of two medicines: domperidone and pantoprazole. Domperidone is a prokinetic which works on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing the food to move more easily through the stomach. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (Ppi) which works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in the relief of acid-Related indigestion and heartburn. Taking a large amount of alcohol can increase acidity and cause acid reflux in the food pipe causing heartburn. This would decrease the effect of this drug and can aggravate your underlying condition. Warnings Pregnancy Weigh risks vs benefits Pantocid dsr capsule may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Breast feeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
